Betts' Army Wrestling Club

Come join our club for exercise and training that promotes physical fitness while teaching wrestling skills. K-12th graders are welcome! Takes place in the Milan Middle School Gym. Instruction is provided by Wrestling Coach Mike Betts, who brings over 45 years of experience to the club.
Eight classes are included in a session.

Come learn the wonderful sport of baton twirling! New and experienced twirlers are welcome. New twirlers will learn basic twirling skills and techniques, marching, bodywork, strutting skills, and a dance twirl routine. Experienced twirlers will learn new tricks as well as improve their individual routines. Learn with an expert professional staff led by head coach Susan Usher. Be sure to wear comfortable clothing, tennis shoes, and bring a baton if you have one! There are two sessions available. For ages K and up!

Instant Piano for Hopelessly Busy People

In just a few hours, you can learn enough secrets of the trade to give you years of musical enjoyment. Learn to play piano the way professionals do - using chords! Since this class is being held online with Zoom, you will be able to sit at your piano or keyboard at home and take this course with no pressure at all. And, since this course includes an online book and online follow-up video lessons, you will be able to continue your practice and study on your own. You will also be provided with a recording of the class and an optional periodic online question and answer session. The course is partly lecture/demonstration and partly hands on instruction. Class is limited to 25 people. For ages 13+

This is a Michigan Safe Boating Course offered by the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Department. This course of designed to teach both beginning and experienced boaters the "Rules of the Road". This course will provide attendees an opportunity to obtain a Michigan Boaters Safety Certificate.
Did you know? Persons less than 12 years can only operate a boat of more than 6hp but no more than 35 hp legally if they have been issued a boating certificate and are supervised on board by a person at least 16 years of age. Those born on or after July 1, 1996 may operate a boat only if they have been issued a boating safety certificate. Those born before July 1, 1996 may operate a boat legally without restrictions. Personal watercraft can be driven by 14 and 15 year olds only if they obtained a boating safety certificate and are accompanied on board by their parent or legal guardian. Those at least 16 years of age and born after December 31, 1978 may operate a PWC legally only if they have obtained a boating safety certificate.

Come out and learn a new sport. Learn the basics and play some fun water polo games! This activity is for girls in 8th-12th grades.

Pottery Class

Join us for a fun, hands-on workshop and make a unique, personalized ceramic dish. All bowls will be food-safe, microwave-safe, dishwasher-safe, and can be enjoyed for years! Students will be able to choose their own glaze color(s). For ages 5 and up! Children under 12 must be accompanied by a parent or other adult. Provided by One Acre Ceramics. There is a minimum enrollment of 10 students and a maximum of 20.
Bowls will be glazed and fired at One Acre Studio and will be returned to Milan Middle School for pickup 2-3 weeks after the session. Park in the main parking area at the front of the building and enter through the doors off to the left side facing the building (this entrance is separate from the main entrance). Once inside, you'll find our office in the first door to the left.
