Betts' Army Wrestling Club


  • Come join our club for exercise and training that promotes physical fitness while teaching wrestling skills. K-12th graders are welcome! Takes place in the Milan Middle School Gym. Instruction is provided by Wrestling Coach Mike Betts, who brings over 45 years of experience to the club.

    Eight classes are included in a session. 

    WHEN:

    • Session 1: SEPT 3, 5, 10, 12, 17, 19, 24, 26
    • Session 2: OCT 1, 3, 8, 10, 15, 17, 22, 24, 
    • Session 3: OCT 29, 31, NOV 5, 7, 12, 14, 19, 21
    • Session 4: NOV 26, 28 DEC 3, 5, 10, 12, 17, 19
    • Session 5: JAN 7, 9, 14, 16, 21, 12, 28, 30
    • Session 6: FEB 4, 6, 11, 13, 18, 20, 25, 27

Kickstart Karate

  • This introductory martial arts program offers traditional martial arts training to children ages 6 through 12 and emphasizes self-defense, physical fitness, conflict resolution, teamwork, and anti-kidnapping techniques. This program is designed specifically for children and teaches children to respect themselves and others with the skills they learn. The program has a very positive impact on children. Each session is four Friday evening classes. Class is held in Saline.

    WHEN: Fridays February 7, 14, 21, 28 from 6:00-6:30p

Future Cheer (Mini Reds 3rd&4th Grades)

  • This Mini-Reds cheer program is offered to third and fourth graders who are interested in cheer, particularly joining a team in the fall! The sessions will focus on prepping for motions of cheerleading as well as teaching dance moves and the cheers themselves. In the fall and winter there will be a cheer team for the students to join. Parents are invited to join for the last session of the season. A t-shirt is included with the program price. For third and fourth graders!

    WHEN:Monday and Wednesdays from 6:30-7:30pm

    • February 24 and 26
    • March 3, 5, 10, 12

Twirling Workshop

    Come learn the wonderful sport of baton twirling! New and experienced twirlers are welcome. New twirlers will learn basic twirling skills and techniques, marching, bodywork, strutting skills, and a dance twirl routine. Experienced twirlers will learn new tricks as well as improve their individual routines. Learn with an expert professional staff led by head coach Susan Usher. Be sure to wear comfortable clothing, tennis shoes, and bring a baton if you have one! There are two sessions available. For ages K and up!

    WHEN

    • Session One: Sunday February 9th from 1:00p to 3:30p
    • Session Two: Sunday April 27th from 1:00p to 3:30p

Pottery Class


  • Join us for a fun, hands-on workshop and make a unique, personalized ceramic dish. All bowls will be food-safe, microwave-safe, dishwasher-safe, and can be enjoyed for years! Students will be able to choose their own glaze color(s). For ages 5 and up! Children under 12 must be accompanied by a parent or other adult. Provided by One Acre Ceramics. There is a minimum enrollment of 10 students and a maximum of 20.

    Bowls will be glazed and fired at One Acre Studio and will be returned to Milan Middle School for pickup 2-3 weeks after the session. Park in the main parking area at the front of the building and enter through the doors off to the left side facing the building (this entrance is separate from the main entrance). Once inside, you'll find our office in the first door to the left. 

    WHEN: Saturday February 1st from 1:00-2:00p   

    WHERE: Milan High School Cafeteria 

    COST: $20/person per Saturday (accompanying adult does not pay extra unless they plan to make their own pottery piece)
