PECC Director: Lisa Anderson mellingerl@milanareaschools.org
Paddock’s Early Childhood Center encompasses many programs that help children and families succeed. We have children’s programs starting from birth through age five, as well as school-age childcare. Our purpose is to provide a quality, developmentally appropriate, educational experience for your child. We view ourselves as an extension of your family. There is a commitment to having a constant atmosphere of love, learning and security in order to help create a strong foundation for lifelong learning.
If you are not able to schedule an in-person preschool tour, we have created a virtual tour that will provide you with information about our preschool options and a slideshow to show you what "A Day In The Life of a Preschooler" at Paddock's Early Childhood Center looks like. You may click through the slides and watch the video to learn more about our program. If you have any questions, feel free to contact Ms. Lisa Anderson at mellingerl@milanareaschools.org or 734-439-5159.

Child Development Screening with the Ages & Stages Questionnaire (ASQ)
-
Want to learn more about your child's development? Looking for new age appropriate activities to do with your child? Ever wonder if your child's development is on track? Paddock’s Early Childhood Center, in conjunction with Washtenaw Success by 6 Great Start Collaborative is pleased to offer free developmental screenings online to all families residing in the Milan Area School District and Washtenaw County. The ASQ-3 (Ages & Stages Questionnaire) is an established, research-based tool that can help you understand more about your child's development from 2 months to 5-1/2 years of age. A questionnaire is created based on your child's age and helps to monitor development in 5 areas: communication, gross motor, fine motor, problem solving and personal-social.
ASQ Developmental Screening: The questionnaire takes about 15 minutes to complete. An early education specialist will respond to your questionnaire within a few days. Each family who completes a screening will receive age appropriate activities for the child. When you complete the ASQ-3, you will be invited to complete the ASQ:SE, which is an additional screening tool for social-emotional development. You can take one or both questionnaires. Regular developmental screening in the early years helps inform parents about important developmental milestones and can ensure that children are on track. Thanks to a generous grant from the Ann Arbor Area Community Foundation, these screenings are FREE to all families residing in Washtenaw County.
