¡Hola, familias de escuela Milan!  It is an honor and a pleasure to bring my passion of Spanish and Latino cultures to Milan Middle School. And now I get the opportunity to teach a class combining Spanish with astronomy and more.  I have a life-long love of the stars.  Milan truly supports creativity, innovation, and knowledge among students and staff.  I studied psychology at Columbia University in New York and did graduate studies in education, bilingual education, and Spanish teaching at the University of Texas at El Paso (courses were in Spanish).  I have now taught all grades except Kindergarten.  I have taught in New York, Texas, Indiana, and now Michigan.  Spanish is my first language.  Being bilingual and multicultural has been expansive and enriching.  When not teaching, I enjoy traveling (Mexico, Spain, Puerto Rico, Ireland, England, Scotland, France, Austria, Czech Republic, Hungary, and Germany), watching classic films (Casablanca is my favorite), and yes, I love Sci Fi (Star Trek and Star Wars both).
