I am proud to have the privilege of serving your students as the Principal of Milan Middle School! Middle school is a time of immense growth, exploration, and discovery, and I am honored to be part of the journey with each and every one of you. I look forward to partnering with you to foster a learning environment that promotes academic excellence, personal growth, and a sense of community.

I have been dedicated to the field of education for more than 20 years. I earned my Master of Education degree from the University of Michigan and obtained my Administrative Certification from Eastern Michigan University. I am now working towards an Education Specialist degree in Educational Leadership through Northern Michigan University. During my career in education, I have worked with both elementary and middle school students in a variety of settings, including students with special needs and accelerated learners. My philosophy of education is built around the belief that students learn best when they feel capable, connected, and have opportunities to contribute to the school community. As your principal, my goal is to support a learning environment in which all of our students are empowered with the skills and mindset to achieve their personal best academically, emotionally, and socially.

Personally, I live right here in Milan with my husband, Shane, and our four wonderful children: EJ, Ben, Abby, and Sam. We love living in Milan and can’t imagine a better place to raise our family. As a parent myself, I know how important your children are to you, and I thank you for your trust and partnership as we work together toward our common goal of student success.
