Milan Area Schools is a great place to be, and I am happy to spend my 13th year in administration with the Big Reds. I live between Saline and Milan with my husband, Mack, who is a Staff Judge Advocate in the Army Reserves and a compliance officer for Wells Fargo. Our daughter, Sydney, is in high school and swims on the SHS and SST teams. Our son, Xavier is starting high school this year and plays soccer, lacrosse, and the bassoon and trombone. We love to travel and spend time together as a family.
Professionally, I have eight years of teaching experience, thirteen years of administrative experience, and have earned five degrees: two bachelor's degrees (education and communication), a master's degree (communication), a specialist and doctorate (education leadership). In addition to serving as principal of Milan Middle School, I serve as Past-President of the Michigan Elementary and Middle School Principals Association (MEMSPA) and state representative for the National Association of Elementary School Principals (NAESP). I have been active in leading and advocating within the organization at the state level for the past three years. I also teach graduate classes at Concordia University in Ann Arbor in Education Leadership. Everything that I do professionally involves my passions: education and leadership.
I am passionate about teaching and learning, and I strive to serve our community, students, and staff. I am grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with the amazing professionals at MAS to help our students reach their fullest potential and come closer to their brightest futures.
