Hello! My name is Sarah Farmer! This is my sixteenth year of teaching. I began my teaching career at Milan Middle School teaching 8th grade math. I then transferred to Symons Elementary where I began teaching computers. Later in the same year I was lucky enough to start my own 3rd grade classroom! I am now tackling a new adventure in teaching 5th grade!
I am 38 years old and have lived in Milan since I was two! I went to Paddock Elementary, Milan Middle School, and Milan High School. I still love living in the community of Milan. I have one older brother named Bill! We are really close! My parents (Mr. and Mrs. Hogan) are super! You might see them come in the classroom from time to time. They do great things for our class.
I have been married to my husband for 11 years. Mr. Farmer and I have 4 children: Zachary, Mason, James, and Masey.
I have wanted to be a teacher since I was in first grade! I attended Eastern Michigan University for my undergraduate degree and graduated in April of 2003 with a Bachelor of Science. My major was Science and my minor was Math! I also attended EMU for my masters degree. I graduated in the summer of 2007 with a Masters of Arts in Early Childhood Education.
In my free time I love being with my family and friends! I also enjoy volleyball, softball, reading, and swimming!
