Milan Middle School Student Council members have been hard at work helping the Milan community as well as instilling pride throughout the school. StuCo members began the year with a spirit week during Homecoming, held a costume contest for Halloween, and then began their first big community project which included collecting money for Ele's Place and canned food for Aid in Milan. To thank students at MMS for their generous donations, StuCo hosted a Day to Play which included a Student vs Staff kickball game before Thanksgiving. Following a fun-filled spirit week before the holiday break, StuCo members traveled to Mill Creek Middle School in Dexter to participate in a Leadership Day with StuCo members from surrounding districts. As March and April approach, so do Penny Wars which raises money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society as well as a Blood Drive which takes place at MMS. StuCo members run both activities which have been huge successes over the past few years at MMS. MMS Student Council members are leaders at MMS who not only work to make the school a place where students enjoy coming each day, but they also work to help the Milan community.
