Here you will find information around our 1:1 Chromebook initiative at Milan Middle School. We are excited to offer all students in grades 6-12 a device to support their learning at Milan Area Schools. 

The use of the Chromebooks and the Google suite are now widely used skills across most careers as well as a huge resource for continuing education. It will help foster our district goals of communication, collaboration, creativity and innovation, and most importantly, critical thinking. The device will also support our practices of authentic and individualized instruction. Most of our middle school curriculum is now web-based and not through textbooks. This is the case for math, ELA, and social studies, and we are currently reviewing science curriculum that may go that way as well. The biggest benefit is that this new generation of curricula allow teachers to differentiate, support, and challenge students more than ever before. The devices combined with learning management systems allow students to work at their own pace, interests, and academic levels.
