Mrs. Nancy Gill

 

      I graduated from The University of Michigan in 2004 with a Bachelors in Education where I majored in English and minored in Political Science.  From there, I went on to earn a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from Concordia University.  I love learning, which makes education a perfect job for me.  I am always learning new ways to reach and challenge my students.

     I began teaching at Milan High School in the fall of 2004.  I have taught not only English 10 but also English 9 and Creative Writing.  Currently, I teach both English 9 and English 10.  Email is the best way to reach me. 

     I have three children who attend Milan Area Schools.

    • box of kleenex OR hand sanitizer OR container of cleaning wipes (you choose)

    Over the course of this year, students will be exposed to major genres of literature including memoir, historical fiction, dystopia, and mythology.  They will have the chance to not only read but also write in each of these genres

  • English 10: American Literature

    Get ready to experience the "greats" of American Literature throughout the major literary movements.  From early American writing to Romanticism and Realism to The Harlem Renaissance and Contemporary Literature, we will be reading the big names of the times.
