Ms. McKenzie Chappell

I have been teaching at Milan High School since 2012. I have taught a number of English and Spanish courses here, and I am excited to be teaching Spanish I, III, and humanities this year. Before coming to Milan, I attended the University of Michigan and received degrees in English and Spanish. During my time at university, I was able to study in Salamanca, Spain. My study abroad experiences helped to develop my love of travel. I love to share my travel experiences with students and I am one of the teachers involved in leading our Language Club.

In addition to the Language Club, I am also a coach of our Code Red Robotics Team. Our team competes in FIRST robotics competitions throughout the state of Michigan. Our students design and build a robot in six weeks in order to compete. The team also supports younger students on robotics teams and STEM initiatives throughout the district. While Language Club and robotics keep me pretty busy during the year, I do enjoy reading, running, knitting, and traveling in my free time.
