I am a building substitute at Symons, and a certified elementary school teacher. I have previously taught second grade in Ann Arbor and have done long term substitute positions in various area school districts. I received my bachelors degree in education from Eastern Michigan University with a focus in English. I have wanted to be a teacher or work with kids since I was a kid myself and am from a small town like Milan, so it really feels like home here. 

When I am not teaching I enjoy reading, making crafts such as stained glass, crochet, polymer clay, and more. Family and friends are very important to me. I am married with one dog and one cat who I love as my children, and highly value a good sense of humor!
