• Student Projects

  • Personal Finance Survival Guide (PFSG)

During this project, students will explore financial literacy learning modules and research colleges, training programs, careers, and earnings. They will also create financial spreadsheets, keep records about their plan after high school, create a presentation about that plan, and engage in a professional interview discussing the information that they have learned. Students will work towards answering this driving question: How do I come up with a plan for college or other post-secondary training that will put me on the road to financial stability?

  • MCIS Advertising Group (MAG)

In this project, students are assigned the large task of developing a unified advertising campaign for the MCIS Advertising Group (MAG) in order to bring more support for one of the many issues plaguing or affecting our country in this day and age. This will be in the form of various medias that all present a clear, accurate and motivating Public Service Announcement Campaign. Students work together to create an advertising package for a campaign that can be for a local, state or national non-profit organization that is working towards creating change or promoting awareness on a social issue.

  • Big Red Talks (BRT)

In this project, students will work to answer this driving question: How can I give a memorable talk on a topic I am passionate about that showcases a new idea or a new perspective for my given audience?

  • Autonomous Robotic Devices (ARD)

In this project, students will design an autonomous robotic device that will perform assistive services to improve the productivity of a medical research institution. They will work towards answering this driving question: How can autonomous and semi-autonomous robots improve the quality of life for humans and the productivity of organizations by performing assistive services?

  • Authentic Relevant Challenge (ARC)

In this project, students will work to answer this driving question: How can we facilitate personalized learning via student-designed projects in a timely, effective, and worthwhile manner while enhancing student productivity and relevancy?
