I began my teaching career at Paddock Elementary School in 1998 teaching multiage - 1st, 2nd, & 3rd grade. Over the years, I taught multiage as well as 2nd grade. I moved to Symons Elementary School to teach 4th grade for the 2016 school year. I have a Bachelor and Masters degree from Eastern Michigan University. I completed National Board Certification and have been a state finalist for The Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching. 

When not teaching I enjoy camping with my family, reading, running, and playing with our dogs. Each year I try to participate in a race event that challenges me physically and mentally. As a family, we love exploring and trying new things!
