Annie Kiser - Counselor for 10th-12th Grade Students (last name K-Z)

Hello! I am the counselor for 10th through 12th graders with last names beginning with K-Z. I love being a school counselor because I get to be an advocate for students. High school is a really cool time when students are figuring out their own identities, passions, and goals. I believe that there is no one path, but rather tens or hundreds of ways to reach a goal and I help students explore different options and plan next steps after high school.

This is my fourth year at Milan and I have worked in education for nine years. I earned my bachelor's from Ohio University, and have a master's in school counseling from University of Dayton. After college, I was lucky enough to serve as a Peace Corps volunteer in Niger, West Africa, on the edge of the Sahara desert. Currently, I'm happily married and a proud toddler-mom and cat-mom.

I am the coordinator for the Gender and Sexuality Alliance here at the high school. Please email me for more info or for help advocating for LGBTQ students and families.

I can't wait to get to know you. Please sign up for an appointment or stop by my office and say hello!
