First and foremost, I love teaching first grade!  This will be my 20th year of teaching elementary school.  Every year brings something new, and I learn right along with the students. I graduated from Central Michigan University.  I have also earned my Master's Degree in Reading from Eastern Michigan University, which is perfect for teaching my first graders to read and write!

Outside of school, I love to learn and do as much reading as I can...this mostly consists of reading books with my two children as well as listening to them grow as readers!  I have an 10-year old son and a 8-year old daughter.  We love to spend time outside.  My kids are very active, and they keep me busy.  I'm sure your student will hear a lot of stories as we gear up for Writing Workshop.  Most of my stories are about the silly things they do!
