Board Candidate Forum

The Milan Area Schools Board of Education Meet the Candidate Forum hosted by the Milan Area Chamber was held at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, September 24, 2024.  The Forum took place in the Milan High School Theater.  The Forum was recorded and is available on the School Board YouTube Channel.

This is your chance to hear the candidates speak about important state and district education related topics.  The candidates are George Elder IV, Carrie Karvonen-Gutierrez, Cassie Prior, and Gary A. Taepke.

Election day is Tuesday, November 5th, and the polls will be open from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM.

Each candidate responded to 5 prepared questions in a speech format.  Following the prepared responses, the candidates answered questions collected from the community prior to the event.
