MHS was honored by the Michigan Department of Education as a Reward School in 2013 for being among the top 5% in academic improvements compared to all other schools in the state. Improvement is measured by performance on the Michigan Merit Exam (MME) compared to a trend of the three previous years. MHS demonstrated greater one-year improvements compared to all other high schools within the Washtenaw Intermediate School District on each area of the ACT assessment, an integral component to the MME. Milan High School is very proud of this accomplishment and will continue steadfast efforts to maintain it four-year trend of academic growth. For more information, contact MHS Principal, Mr. Shinn.
