Kindergarten and Young 5s Registration

Round-Up is a two-part process that helps ease the transition to school by introducing families to our building, staff, and routines. It also gives us a chance to learn more about your child before the school year begins, helping us create balanced classrooms that support every learner.

Date: Wednesday, April 9, 2025
Time: 5:00 – 7:00 PM
Location: Paddock Elementary School

This is a parents-only evening where you'll:

• Meet our Kindergarten and Young Fives staff

• Learn about a typical kindergarten day and our curriculum

• Receive your child’s appointment time for Part II

• Submit or complete your registration paperwork

Please bring:

• Your child’s original birth certificate

• Immunization record

• Health appraisal form

• Proof of residency

(We will make copies of documents at school, but we must see original/official versions.)

Date: Monday, August 5, 2025
Time: Based on your scheduled appointment

Your child will:

• Tour Paddock Elementary

• Participate in hearing and vision screening

• Complete a few brief assessments with a kindergarten teacher

This one-on-one time helps us get to know your child and prepare for a successful school year.

Please Note:
If possible, we recommend that siblings not attend this appointment so you and your child can focus on the experience together.

Children must be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2025 to enroll in kindergarten.
For students not quite ready for a full-day kindergarten experience, Young Fives may be an option. Staff can help families decide which program is the best fit.

Please bring:

• Original birth certificate

• Immunization record

• Health appraisal form

• Proof of residency

(We will copy the forms at school—originals must be presented.)
