Kindergarten and Young 5s Registration

Kindergarten and Young 5 Roundup is an informational event designed for parents and guardians to learn more about our programs, meet staff, and hear about what to expect for the upcoming school year.

Location: Paddock Elementary School, 707 Marvin St. Milan MI 48160

• Kindergarten and Young 5 Roundup is an informational event designed for parents and guardians to learn more about our programs, meet staff, and hear about what to expect for the upcoming school year.
• Students do not need to attend Roundup; however, they must be present for Orientation Day on Wednesday, August 5, 2026.
• Kindergarten and Young Fives registration for the 2026-2027 school year will be online.
• Computers will be available at roundup to begin the registration process.
• Additional registration information will be provided at Kindergarten and Young Fives roundup night.

Time: Based on your scheduled appointment time.

Your appointment time is assigned by the first letter of your students last name. While it may not take the entire time, please plan on attending the assigned time slot for the entirety of the two hours. Thank you. 

• A - G    9:00 am - 11:00 am
• H - M   12:00 pm - 2:00 pm
• N - Z   2:30 pm - 4:30 pm

Your child will:

• Tour Paddock Elementary

• Participate in hearing and vision screening

• Complete a few brief assessments with a kindergarten teacher

This one-on-one time helps us get to know your child and prepare for a successful school year.

Please Note:

• If possible, we recommend that siblings not attend this appointment so you and your child can focus on the experience together.
• If you're not able to make your scheduled appointment time, please be sure to call (734)439-5100 to reschedule with Mrs. Smith.

Children must be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2026 to enroll in kindergarten.

For students not quite ready for a full-day kindergarten experience, Young Fives may be an option. Staff can help families decide which program is the best fit and please check out some helpful resources listed below.

Documents needed for registration:

• Birth certificate

• Immunization record

• Health appraisal form

• Two (2) Proofs of residency
