March is Reading Month at Symons
Reading is an important activity every day at Symons but during March we enjoy some extra special activities throughout the month. Every Friday morning we will start the day with D.E.A.R. time (Drop Everything and Read) and a few Fridays we will have some special activities.
Friday, March 12th will be "Do You Read Me? day. Students are invited to wear a shirt or hat with writing on it throughout the day.
Friday, March 19th is a Read-a-Thon at Symons. In a special place someone will be reading every minute of the day.
Friday, March 26th is a Book Swap at Symons and students will be invited to bring up to three books to trade for three "new" books.
We invite and encourage family members to spend time reading at home each night during March is Reading Month.
