Milan Area Schools chooses to take part in a rigorous school improvement model through AdvancED. Our goal is to continuously improve our schools. In order to make significant changes, we need to get honest feedback from the parents of our students and other community members. This survey was designed by AdvancED and is aligned with their standards for quality schools. This is the same survey used in AdvancED schools throughout the world.
Please take some time to provide us with your feedback. If you have more than one child, you can complete one for each school or choose “Milan Area Schools” (as opposed to selecting a specific school) and complete one with a more general mindset.
Please be assured that your responses to this survey will be anonymous. Your honest opinion is appreciated. The survey will close on March 14.
Milan Area Schools is OPEN to any family from Washtenaw County or any of the surrounding counties.

Milan High School Peer-to-Peer team members, in conjunction with the Rachel Upjohn Depression Center at the University of Michigan, are sponsoring activities to create awareness around the important topic of adolescent depression. The development of this program at MHS is a foundational element within the proactive culture of support that the Peer-to-Peer team members create for our students. For a description of the program and a list of resources, please see the links below.
MHS was honored by the Michigan Department of Education as a Reward School in 2013 for being among the top 5% in academic improvements compared to all other schools in the state. Improvement is measured by performance on the Michigan Merit Exam (MME) compared to a trend of the three previous years. MHS demonstrated greater one-year improvements compared to all other high schools within the Washtenaw Intermediate School District on each area of the ACT assessment, an integral component to the MME. Milan High School is very proud of this accomplishment and will continue steadfast efforts to maintain it four-year trend of academic growth. For more information, contact MHS Principal, Mr. McMahon.
We care about our students and want to keep them safe. Please be prepared to present identification when picking up a child.
